Most charity giving favors the dramatic, the project-shaped, the buildable. Daily operations are none of these. They are the unromantic backbone of the work.
This fund covers what 119 children need every day to live: rice and maize, milk and vegetables, school uniforms and books, electricity and water bills, soap and washing powder, the salaries of the women who cook and the men who guard the gates at night. We need approximately $13,200 each month to keep all three homes running.
A monthly gift to this fund is the most useful gift you can make. It frees us to respond to whatever the children need this month, not whatever a restricted grant was designated for.
We publish operational expense reports annually. Every category accounted for, every shilling traceable.
